You might be wondering what it’s really like to work with us. Our approach is structured, but never templated. Our approach is just as unique as you are. And when unexpected situations arise, we are right there with you to navigate the steps ahead.

Monday

We have a 10am Eastern brainstorming call for MIT over Zoom. We’re almost done with the essays for Harvard and Stanford, but the essay topics for MIT are somewhat restrictive, so we need to find a creative way to share your story within the constraints. After a 45-minute call and a big “a-ha” moment, we’ve arrived at the perfect topic and essay flow.

Tuesday

You spend the day reviewing our essay writing guide and outlining your essay. Reading the guide sparks an idea for an additional section of content. You excitedly message me on WhatsApp to get my opinion. After giving you a thumbs up, you feel great about the essay’s potential. 

Wednesday

You wake up to an unexpected curveball. One of your recommenders was in a car accident (thankfully he is o.k.) and will be out of the office recovering for the next month. We jump on the phone to strategize on alternative writers who can complete the recommendation quickly.

Thursday

You spend the day securing the new recommender and preparing them for the recommendation process. It wasn’t what you expected to do, but the process we followed last month to prepare the other recommender made this process easier.

Friday

It’s finally the weekend. You can take the night off to destress (yay!) but the plan is to get back to our process over the weekend. You send me a quick check-in Friday night to let me know things are on track.
